Product feature and application
Features :
- Excellent performance and reliable operation
- Easy to maintain and capable of operating at low air pressure
- Dual-function design for enhanced flexibility and adaptability.
Application:
The Y20LY is a lightweight rock drill suitable for medium-hard to hard rock formations (f≥8), capable of both dry and wet drilling operations. It can drill blast holes with diameters ranging from Φ34 to Φ40 mm, achieving an effective drilling depth of up to 3 meters.
This versatile machine offers two operation modes:
- Hand-held mode for downward drilling
- Air-leg mode (when equipped with the FT100 air leg) for drilling horizontal or inclined blast holes in various tunnels.
Production details
Raw materials: The core components are made of high-strength alloy steel.

Forging and heat treatment technologies enhance the hardness and toughness of core components.

FAQ
Q: What issues should be noted during the use of the Y20LY handheld rock drill?
A: The machine is coated with anti-rust grease before leaving the factory. It must be disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled with lubricating oil before use.
Before connecting the air and water pipes, blow clean any debris inside the pipes to prevent foreign matter from entering the machine and damaging components.
Before starting the machine, carefully check whether all operating mechanisms and moving parts are correctly and securely assembled. Fill the oiler with lubricating oil and adjust the oil volume appropriately.
After completing work, first cut off the water supply and then run the machine briefly to blow out any residual water droplets inside, preventing parts from rusting.
For frequently used machines, regular maintenance and servicing are essential. Inspect the machine at least once a week, remove internal debris, and replace any damaged or worn parts.
If a used machine is to be stored for an extended period, it must be disassembled, cleaned, oiled, sealed, and stored in a dry place.
Q: What are the precautions for disassembly and assembly?
A: Air Distribution Valve: Exercise caution during the disassembly and assembly of the air distribution valve. Avoid stacking or causing burrs due to impact. After reassembly, the valve should move flexibly to both extreme positions within the valve cabinet when gently shaken by hand.
Drill Tail Sleeve: The drill tail sleeve and rotating sleeve form an interference fit. To disassemble the drill tail sleeve, locally heat the rotating sleeve rapidly to 200°C, insert a drill tail with a shoulder ground to less than Φ30 mm into the rotating sleeve, and then tap out the drill tail sleeve using a hand hammer. For installation, heat the rotating sleeve to 200°C, quickly place the cold drill tail sleeve (with the tapered surface oriented correctly) into the rotating sleeve, and press or hammer it into place until fully seated.
Air Pipe Elbow and Water Pipe Elbow: During disassembly, first push the air pipe elbow and water pipe elbow inward, then use a tool to pry out the wire retaining ring to remove them. During assembly, push the elbows into the bottom of their respective holes in the handle body, use a tool to position the wire retaining ring into the corresponding semi-circular groove, and then pull the elbows outward until they are secured against the retaining ring for safe operation.
Spiral Nut: The spiral nut is connected to the piston via left-hand threads. Pay attention to the rotation direction during disassembly and assembly.
Full Machine Reassembly: The nuts (43) on both long screws must be tightened evenly to ensure the proper operation of all moving components.
